Company Profile

Zebra Diamonds

In 2005 IGC Sightholder Group was invited to submit a business plan to the Government of Botswana to build a factory in Botswana. The plan contained the construction of a purpose built factory employing 175 employees at full capacity.

Zebra Diamonds was the chosen name for the Botswana factory.

IGC Group now co-operates with factories in Botswana, Thailand, Laos and China. It also has contract operations in Belgium and is a specialised manufacturer of finest make.

Through its policy of diversification the company seeks to optimize the efficiencies offered by different manufacturing centres. These efficiencies relate to factors that affect the economics of diamond manufacturing such as: supply of rough diamonds, infrastructure, communications, logistics, and the fiscal apparatus of the host country.

Zebra Diamonds started operations in August 2007 and grew to more than 100 employees in a very short time. The factory is equipped with the most advanced diamond manufacturing equipment available. Expatriate training specialists have been providing expertise and instruction in diamond manufacturing technology.

With Zebra Diamonds, IGC Group is committed to setting up an efficient, state-of-the-art and fully independent diamond cutting operation in Botswana delivering polished diamonds that live up to the company's motto: "The Make Matters"
